You can jailbreak your iDevice with 4.0 firmware using JailbreakMe by following these easy steps. (Check to see if your device is supported below)
1) Navigate to http://jailbreakme.com on your iDevice using safari
2) Now slide the "Slide to Jailbreak"
Now it should start jailbreaking your device. It may take a few minutes to finish.
